Young Thug was locked up last week after he violated his bond on pending charges of firearm possession and intent to distribute meth, hydrocodone, and weed by failing a drug test.
This morning he pled for his freedom
"I'm sorry for disobeying the court. I'm sorry for disobeying my PO and being here again," Thug told a DeKalb County Georgia judge. "I just want to be home with my family, and do right ... I have so many millions of people that pay attention to me. I live so different. I'm not blaming it on that. But it's like these last six days is like when I came back down to reality. I understood that this is real life. I got sons, 10, 11 years old, that look up to me. I don't want them to think, like, going to jail, even if you're getting right out of jail is cool. I want to just, like, grow ... I'm sorry, and I won't disobey you again."
It looks like his words may have worked. Atlanta news station 11 reports that Thugger's $100,000 bond has been reinstated he will be released from jail this afternoon.
Update: As a condition of Thug's release, he will have to stay sober and is subject to two random drugs tests a week.
