Things are happening over at G-Unit Records.

Yesterday, 50 Cent announced Lloyd Banks was off the label in a now-deleted Tweet.

Young Buck is still on the label and he made a bit of news in an interview with Power 105's DJ Self when he seemed to confirm the chatter that G-Unit is working on a deal with Def Jam and the label's new boss Paul Rosenberg.

Buck was talking about his label, G-Unit South, when he brought up Rosenberg's name.

“Shout out to Paul Rosenberg," Buck said. "I will just say shout out to Paul Rosenberg cuz 50 told me to shout him out."

Rosenberg, who managed Eminem and co-founded Shady Records before taking on the Def Jam job, had a high profile meeting with 50 earlier this year, which is what prompted the rumors of G-Unit to Def Jam.

G-Unit is currently under Capitol Music Group's Caroline Records. Like Def Jam, that's a Universal imprint.
