Not only does YG have a really cool mustache, he now has a Gold album after surpassing a billion streams.
According to Karen Civil, YG has gone Gold based off his billion streams for his album Stay Dangerous.
Well, Twitter couldn't handle the math and flipped out over the stream to plaque ratio.
A billion streams don’t seem all that cool now if you only getting a gold album.

So YG would have to get 2 billion streams to get a platinum album.
Gold = 500,000 units sold
Plat= 1,000,000 units sold

Going Gold consists or reaching 500,000 units, and the RIAA breaks down units according to the below list.
Each permanent digital album or physical album sale count as 1 Unit for certification purposes.
10 permanent track downloads from the album count as 1 Unit for certification purposes.
1,500 on-demand audio and/or video streams from the album count as 1Unit for certification purposes
Pretty crazy, right?
