YBN Nahmir Explains How 'Old People' Broke Up The YBN Crew

YBN Nahmir was a guest on the No Jumper podcast and explained why the YBN crew is no more.

Besides Nahmir, the group consisted of YBN Almighty Jay and Cordae, who dropped the YBN prefix once he left the group.

"Sometimes as friends, you grow apart and you have different visions for what you wanna do and that’s OK, there’s no love lost," said Cordae in September about why the crew parted ways.

Plus, one month earlier, Nahmir tweeted about the split. 

"They left this YBN sh*t in the gutter. Remember that. I’ll turn it up myself," he wrote.

But during his No Jumper interview, Nahmir said that outside forces ruined the group, people who were much older than them. 

“But the old n****s in the background, you gotta remember, it’s always somebody that’ll come around and fill your head up and f*ck it over. That’s what happened,” he explained. "It’ll be old people or somebody else that’ll tell you, ‘You better than them. They don’t give a f*ck about you.’ All that sh*t and that filled up all our heads. Not just me, not just Jay, not Cordae, but other YBN members too.”

"That’s how you take advantage of a young kid," added Nahmir. "He’s 17, 18, you’re not really thinking. We just came out of nothing ... When you know how to speak and when you got money, you know how to do some sh*t and you’re old as f*ck, you know how to take advantage of somebody, you know how to manipulate a kid. That’s what they did to all of us.”
