A burgeoning lockdown tradition is reuniting casts of classic TV shows and movies using Zoom-like technology.
Will Smith did just that for The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, getting most of the main cast together for his new Snapchat show.
During the chat, he revealed that Alfonso Ribeiro (Carlton) was the one who recommended that Smith play a character named "Will Smith" the show. Ribeiro's reasoning was that you might as well use your real name because people are going end up calling you by your most famous character's name "for the rest of your life". (If only he had taken his own advice.)
Missing was Janet Hubert, who was replaced by Reid as Aunt Viv halfway through the sitcom's six-year run. Smith and Hubert notoriously didn't get along, and we guess that extends to this day.
Also missing was James Avery, who played Uncle Phil. He sadly passed away in 2013 at age 68.
