Last year, Donald Glover revealed that his smash Childish Gambino hit "The Is America" was originally a Drake diss.
“I had the idea three years before,” he explained. “I told [director] Hiro [Murai] the idea, and he’s like, ‘I really want to do that.’ The idea for the song started as a joke. To be completely honest, ‘This is America’ — that was all we had was that line. It started as a Drake diss, to be honest, as like a funny way of doing it. But then I was like, this sht sounds kind of hard though. So I was like, let me play with it.”
Here's where things get weird. In addition to dropping "This Is America", Glover had his second child in 2018.
The writer/actor/rapper keeps his personal life private. But we recently learned he named the boy ... Drake.

Things got even more convoluted last night with the release of his new album, Bando Stone And The New World. One of the most popular initial reactions was that the project sounded a lot like Drake.
I’m like half way through with the new Childish Gambino album and it’s pretty dope so far ngl

But the Drake influence on this album is craaaazy.
It legit sounds like Drake could’ve written these. pic.twitter.com/PoToCYflLV
Folks also think one of the cuts on the album, "Yoshinoya", is a Drake diss.

What's going on between Glover and Drake?
