The Weeknd's second studio album Beauty Behind The Madness was projected to sell 250,000 in its opening week, which would give it right around the third best opening of the year.
It ended up crushing that total, moving 415,267 copies sales plus streaming, according to Hits Daily Double.
That's a bigger opening then Kendrick Lamar's To Pimp A Butterfly (350,000) and only trails Drake's mega-hit If You're Reading This Its Too Late (535,000) for this calendar year.
2015 has belonged to Toronto.
