Earlier this week, we learned that Tay K was facing a second capital murder charge.
The first was from a July 2016 home invasion in Mansfield, Texas that left a man dead. The 17-year old jumped bail after being hit with that murder charge and seemed to immortalize his escape in the lyrics of his summer hit 'The Race.'
The second murder took place while he was a fugitive.
According to police, Tay K was involved in an altercation in the parking lot of a San Antonio Chick-Fil-A in April. 23-year-old Mark Anthony Saldivar scuffled with four men in an SUV, one of whom was Tay K. Somebody pulled a gun on Saldivar. When he fled the SUV its driver tried to run him over and Saldivar jumped onto the front of the vehicle. Then one of the men in the SUV shot Saldivar to death. The incident was captured on security camera.
Additionally, Tay K was briefly a suspect in a road rage murder that took place on New Year's Eve 2015. Santana Sage, who performed in the rap group the Daytona Boyz with Tay, was found guilty of the crime and sentenced to 44 years.
Tay K remains in the Tarrant County Jail on a $500,000 bond.
