Gillie Da Kid was among the few people who said that Drake won the battle against Kendrick Lamar. He made that assertion right after Dot dropped "Not Like Us" and Drizzy "The Heart Part 6."
C. J. Stroud, who plays quarterback for the Houston Texans, and is from Rancho Cucamonga, California, confronted Gillie over his opinion and accused him of hating on Los Angeles.
"Y’all don’t like L.A. anyway because when Kendrick beat Drake, you said that last diss wasn’t better," said Stroud, referring to "Not Like Us." "I’m gonna check you right now, Unc. You’re tripping. We know you want the [Drake] interview."
Gillie stood his ground, though, and said he didn't care for Dot's first two Drake disses, "Euphoria" and "6:16 in LA."
Another person who criticized Gillie for his opinion is Rick Ross, who called him a hurt "ho."
