The beef between Drake and Meek Mill was arguably the biggest Hip Hop story of 2015. (It was certainly the most trafficked.)
It even spawned a Grammy nominated diss track, Drake's 'Back 2 Back.'
If you went back a few years, you wouldn't find a lot folk predicating Drake would one day be known for his dissin'.
In fact, Drake himself said he would never make a diss track during a 2009 interview with Joe Budden that DJ Booth just dug up.
In the clip, Drake is so adverse any kind of rap beef that when Budden says "diss" he thinks he's saying disc. (They had them back then)
Then the-then 22-year old says if he ever gets dissed it will be from a female because "they have it out for me."
"Diss me, and you'll never hear a reply," Drake says, getting more serious.
"This new generation, I'm praying we can all just all manage to co-exist," Drake added.
Maybe Meek saw this video of a kinder and gentler Drake right before he decided to start Tweeting about ghostwriters ...
