Neither Drake nor Kendrick Perkins had anything to do with the Cavs surprising Game One overtime win over the Raptors.
Drake is an entertainer and Perkins, who plays for the Cavs, was in street clothes for the Eastern Conference semi-finals match up.
But the duo managed to get their names in the news for a halftime confrontation that continued after the game ended.
After the game, Perkins explained what happened.
"I was fucking with Serge, my old teammate," Perkins said after the game. "I wasn't talking to [Drake]."
"[I was] telling him, 'We about to win this game,' and Drake butted in talking shit to me," Perkins told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. "So I said something back to him."
"He said something slick, so I said something back: 'Sit your ass down and watch the game.'"
Drake's only comment on the incident, which he made on an Instagram post, was "I just said I like the hem on his capris."
Drake has a history of getting into it with Raptors opponents. In the first round of the playoffs he had words with Washington Wizards players John Wall and Kelly Oubre.
Does Drake need to sit his ass down?
This went all the way into the tunnel, with Drake calling Perkins a "f------ p----" and calling for him to come out. "I'm here in real life," he said. He was mad. https://t.co/3DJ2HBvrWN
