Big Daddy Kane almost came to blows with UK rapper Kamanchi Sly of the group Hijack when he was performing at London’s O2 Forum Kentish Town for a Hip Hop 50 celebration on Saturday.
At one point, Sly walked to the stage and stood there as Kane was launching into his song "Set It Off." [Jump to the 2:35 mark]
Kane then stopped the song and told the guy to leave but he wouldn't budge. That led to the legendary rapper becoming more upset, and he took off his jacket to fight. But no blows were exchanged because Sly left.
The UK rapper addressed the incident on Instagram the next day and said his beef was with the show promoters, not Kane.
“As per usual the DJs and Promoters of the show LICKED THE ARSE OF THE AMERICANS and disrespected UK side of the culture (HIJACK) by not letting us perform! You were always unprofessional CLOWNS," wrote Sly. "So we walked on Kane’s set and he and they didn’t like it! AWWW . You arse licking promoters and DJs are the reason UK HIP HOP NEVER GREW."
How do you think things would've gone for Sly if this show was in the States or better yet New York?
