It wasn't so long ago that Wale had a run of albums with six-figure opening weeks and was stunting a Jerry Seinfeld co-sign.
Sadly, for the DMV spitter those days are over. His last album, 2019's Wow ... That's Crazy did 38K first week.
Some folks think Rick Ross and MMG ruined Wale.
Whatever is going on, the 37-year old wants everyone to know his resume is tip top.
“I don’t think a lot of people don’t know that me, Cole, and Pharrell opened for JAY-Z,” he says. “We did a whole college tour … a lot of people don’t know I opened for Jay before that, even in Europe. A lot of people don’t know I opened for Rihanna in Europe, because there was no Snapchat," he told Uproxx, after admitted he feels overlooked.
“I wasn’t walking around with a cameraman for YouTube all day. It was a weird time … We got a little bit of the Mandela effect going on in this generation.”
Wale's Folarian 2 drops tomorrow night.
Do you think the rap game will rediscover his talents?
