Wack 100 has gotten lots of grief for his data-driven assertion that Nipsey Hussle did not die a legend.
So, of course, Nick Cannon asked the Cash Money boss about that when Wack did his radio show. In answering the question, Wack also stripped The Notorious B.I.G. of his legend status [Jump to the 6-minute mark.]
"For me, giving [Nipsey] that legend word means we have to back and give LL, Dr. Dre, Cube all these other people a different moniker," he said.
Then he pivoted to The Notorious B.I.G., explaining why Biggie wasn't a legend at the time of his death, either.
"Biggie was not a legend at the time -- he had one album, he died before the second one came out. Biggie was not a legend when it came to music. You gotta remember -- walk with me now -- a lot these teenyboppers, now they look up now and see a Biggie movie. They hear nine million rappers dropping Biggie's name. They turned Biggie into that. Biggie's been gone 27 years. At the time of Biggie's demise, he was not a legend when it came to music."
Wack then explained that 2Pac was a legend because he had a much larger body of work at the time of his death.
