When Kanye West canceled his Saint Pablo tour for mental issues, his insurance company Lloyd's Of London did not payout Kanye’s touring company Very Good Touring's claim. Lloyd's believes marijuana-use caused West's notorious mental breakdown, voiding the policy.
So VGT is suing Lloyd’s to recover the $9.8 million they think they are owed. Kanye's team claims there is no evidence that weed caused ‘Ye to lose his shit and are arguing that Lloyd’s is looking for “any ostensible excuse no matter how fanciful” to deny payment on the policy.
While we just learned of the lawsuit this week, the case has actually been in court for months, and Kayne's wife Kim Kardashian has been called on to testify about 'Ye's drug use.

According to In Touch, Lloyd's may also try to get hold of videos that could damage Kanye's relationship with Kim.
The fight with the insurance company includes haggling over video footage that Kanye's team worries could destroy his marriage to Kim, the source tells In Touch. “More than 20 hours of video was taken of Kanye during the four days leading up to his hospitalization, and you see the deterioration of his condition and his mental breakdown,” the source tells In Touch exclusively.In Touch doesn't say what exactly is in these videos.
But given 'Ye wasn't afraid to say bad things about his good buddy JAY-Z during his breakdown, one can imagine how he could have said things that would be damaging to his marriage to Kardashian.
