Vic Mensa stopped by Viceland's Desus & Mero and talked about the run-in he had with DJ Akademiks on the show Everyday Struggle. Back in June, Mensa blasted AK for seeming to make light of Chicago's murders, which the famed blogger talked about afterwards.
Mensa even told Akademiks that he wanted to "slap him in the face" at one point.

So when Mensa was asked on Desus & Mero if he really wanted to get physical with AK, the Chi-Town spitter said absolutely.
"Yes, 100 percent," he stated. "I planned to whoop DJ Akademiks before he ever had a TV show.Afterwards, the hosts asked Mensa to give a closing statement — which they ask all their guests to do — and here's what he said:
"Fuck DJ Wackademiks."Do you think Akademiks can keep on making enemies in the music industry and still have a successful career for himself? You can watch Mensa's entire interview below.
Update: Akademiks strikes back on his show Everday Struggle.
"I gotta be honest. I don't know what's on Vic Mensa's album. I watched his whole promo run ever since he did his interview with us, and his whole promo run has been about his interview with us...What that does tell me, when I see a rapper who has an album coming out do an entire press run about an interview with a blogger, it tells me that they need some free promo...Can I give my man a plug?..Listen, please go get this guy's album. He needs the attention, clearly he's not getting enough."
