Lil Wayne had quite a day yesterday.
And it had nothing to do with music.
Weezy's dismissive comments about Black Lives Matter made during an interview with Nightline sparked a Twitter frenzy.
He eventually apologized, saying he had been thrown off by a question about his daughter, and didn't know what he was saying.
Vic Mensa, who's one of the more socially conscious rappers out there, happened to be doing a Reddit AMA yesterday, and he weighed in on Wayne saying he couldn't relate to BLM at all.
“i think it’s a very ignorant, selfish & isolated position to take. because even someone as big as wayne is just a black man minus all of his ice and fame, and can be treated the same way.”Are we all making too big a deal about Lil Wayne's opinions?
