The argument that occurred between former TMZ host Van Lathan and Kanye West will probably forever be talked about.
It happened while Ye dropped by TMZ in 2018 and said that slavery for Black people "was a choice."
Lathan spoke about that moment on VladTV and had other things to say about the DONDA rapper. [Jump to the 3:34 mark]
"Some things have to do with the perception he has of himself. There are some things that have to do with how people treat him," said Lathan, who recently trolled Ye with a photo of Pete Davidson. "Kanye talks about free speech, right? He talks about the fact that he should be able to say whatever he wants to say and that's true. But he doesn't seem to like other people's free speech very much ... Kanye doesn't want free speech. What he actually wants is white speech. White speech [means] saying whatever you want to say and there being absolutely zero repercussions for you saying it."
Do you agree with Lathan?
