Tyler, The Creator has a history of saying bad things about Eminem.
However, his latest "insult" to his elder was actually wrapped within a pretty nice compliment.
During a discussion with Rick Rubin, Tyler spoke on how JAY-Z's skill at beat selection is a big part of why he's such a fan of Hov.
Tyler added that he's primarily focused on the beat when he makes music. Then Rubin asked him if there were any artists he's drawn to for the bars, rather than the beats.
"You got people like Eminem, Casiday the rapper," Tyler responded. "That stuff I wonder what pockets there are going to rap this in and what they are going say in the punchline. Eminem picks some of the worst beats ever. Even Ludacris sometimes picks sh*tty beats. But their energy and their cool whitty lines is what made the song cool. So they are an exception. To where JAY-Z picked great beats. So that's what drew me in."
