After the success of The New Edition Story, BET may be airing a series on another music legend.
According to Deadline, the network has ordered a pilot for Street Dreams, a mini-series that will tell the story of Nas' life, as he goes from inner-city street kid to a global rap star.
Two years ago the series was picked up XBox Entertainment, but at that time it was written as a comedy and was only a half our long.
The new script will be written by Jonathan Levine, who penned the 2008 film The Wackness. Nas will be one of the executive producers.
There's no word yet as to when the pilot will be shot, or who will snag the lead role of Nas, but hopefully we'll know something sooner than later.
