2Pac Shakur is certainly known for this Thug Life persona. But it's something that he played up around black people, according to actor Michael Jai White.
White said that he and Pac were friends back in the day and often played pool together. That's when he'd see the late rapper change how he acted whenever a black person entered the room. [Jump to 7:11 mark].
"We would play or we'd hang out, and people would say, 'You know your friend looks a lot like Tupac,'" White said on VladTV. "Nobody ever thought it was him because the side of him that I knew was so different from the whole gangster thing ... I speak the way I speak, no matter who I'm with, right?"
"He would be a different kind of dude," he added. "But then we would be playing and then all of a sudden he would go back into, 'Yeah n*gga.' [I would be like] 'Somebody black must have walked into the room. Yep, there it is.' He would turn that on and off."
Are you surprised to hear that about Pac?
