Troy Ave Speaks Out For First Time Since Taxstone Arrest

by Daryl Nelson

Taxstone was arrested Monday in connection with the Irving Plaza shooting. Since then we've learned that the podcaster's DNA was found on the gun used in the shooting, and that at least one witness saw him at the crime scene.

For the first time since Taxtsone was taken in, Troy Ave -- who was arrested in connection with the shooting last year --- has spoken out and said he feels that justice will soon be reached.

"I view the charges brought today before the SDNY as a positive step in the direction of true justice for what occurred at Irving Plaza," he said.
The rapper's lawyer also spoke out.

"He (Troy) was not responsible for the four shots fired inside the greenroom that took the life of his dear friend [Ronald] McPhatter and caused injury to him and two other innocent bystanders," said John B. Stella.
As for as Taxstone, he's still being kept in a federal detention center after his bail was revoked.
