Travis Scott In Hot Water For Throwing Pop Up Event In L.A. During Pandemic

by Daryl Nelson

Travis Scott sure knows how to gather a crowd at the last minute and doesn't seem to mind doing it during COVID-19.

If you recall, the "Sicko Mode" rapper caused a near riot when he showed up at a McDonald's in Downey, California in 2020 to celebrate having his own meal. He was then blasted by city officials for gathering such a large crowd during the pandemic.

But the backlash didn't seem to bother Scott, because he assembled another mass of people on Tuesday at a West Hollywood newsstand to promote his new I-D Magazine.

TMZ says the rapper failed to get a permit for the newsstand promotion, and now Public Works will talk to the L.A.'s attorney's office to see if a fine will be doled out or if Scott will face any other punishment.

Was he wrong for throwing an event like this during the pandemic?
