Tory Lanez's competitive juices are flowing due to Drake, PARTYNEXTDOOR, and The Weeknd all dropping projects this year.
So, Tory wants to release his own album in two weeks and is confident that he'll top his fellow Canadians — even though he's serving a 10-year prison sentence for shooting Megan Thee Stallion.
Guards at North Kern State Prison also took away his recording equipment last year during a raid.
Tory can be heard having a heated conversation with somebody from his team about wanting to drop new music, and he sounds determined.
"F*ckin' PARTYNEXTDOOR showed his best work of 2025, f*ckin' Drake showed his best work in 2025, The Weeknd show his best work of 2025 and now, n *gga, it’s time for me to come out," said Tory. "Even though my circumstances ... I’mma flame all of that sh*t."
Then when the guy asked Tory how he'd record from prison, the rapper got agitated.
"I’m gonna record on the phone I’m talking to you on," he shot back. "What do you mean? I think you’re more so worried about me telling you that I want to drop with the rest of the city and I want to drop within the next two weeks and just because I don’t have this sh*t created right now."
You can listen to the full conversation above. Is Tory being delusional?
