TMZ personality Van Lathan made a name for himself last year by confronting Kanye West over Ye's notorious "slavery is a choice" comment during a trip Ye made to TMZ's studios.
He's just been fired by TMZ due to another confrontation.
According to Page 6, Lathan had a disagreement with fellow TMZ personality Michael Babcock during the site’s online show TMZ Live last week. The tiff was edited off the air. It was said to be about politics -- Lathan is a liberal and Babock a conservative.
After the segment, Lathan allegedly confronted Babcock in the newsroom and said bad things would happen if Babcock “ever embarrassed [Lathan] like that again."
Lathan was suspended. Then, after a meeting with TMZ's lawyers, fired.
There is no public video of the confrontation between Lathan and Babcock. Here's Lathan vs. Kanye:
Lathan seemed to acknowledge the firing on Twitter, telling everyone he would be OK.
I’m okay. Promise you guys. Seriously.
