Tiger Woods's condition is unknown after a one-car wreck in L.A. County on Tuesday morning at about 7 AM.
What we do know is the jaws of life were required to get him out of the vehicle.
"The vehicle was traveling northbound on Hawthorne Boulevard, at Blackhorse Road, when it crashed. The vehicle sustained major damage."
"The driver and sole occupant was identified as PGA golfer, Eldrick 'Tiger' Woods," officials confirmed.
"Mr. Woods was extricated from the wreck with the 'jaws of life' by Los Angeles County firefighters and paramedics, then transported to a local hospital by ambulance for his injuries."
Woods, who's from Southern California but lives in Florida, was in town for his annual Genesis Invitational golf tournament at the Riviera Country Club in the Pacific Palisades.
In 2009, Woods was driving near his Florida mansion when his SUV hit a fire hydrant, a tree, and several hedges near his home. He suffered minor wounds and the incident touched off an infidelity scandal.
In 2017, Woods was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs after he was found asleep in his car, which was stationary in a traffic lane with its engine running.
We hope he gets out of this one in one piece, too.
Update: Woods has suffered "moderate to critical" leg injuries and is currently in surgery.
