Chance The Rapper and T.I. discussed the current state of Hip Hop with Charlamagne in a preview of their new rap competition show Rythm + Flow.
During the chat, they discussed how Lil Nas X had trouble being accepted into the country world, whereas Hip Hop has long accepted (or has been forced to accept) outsiders entering their genre.
Tip dubbed it the "Post Malone effect," and then accused Postie of jacking Future's sound.
"I love his music, but you can't tell me that ain't Future? There's some Future in there. He does it well, but let's call it what it is," T.I. said.
Chance immediately defended Post, calling him "my dude" and Tip later said Malone has evolved well beyond being a Future clone.
