T.I. and Gucci Mane went back and forth over who invented trap music earlier this year in a debate full of Instagram posts and receipts.
That in mind, TMZ tried to provoke Tip by bringing up the upcoming Gucci Mane biopic. The film is being produced by Hollywood legend Brian Grazer, who compared it to 8 Mile and has called Gucci the "progenitor of trap music."
"It's idiocy to continue to go out and toss around opinions in the face of facts." T.I. said about Grazer's comment on Gucci being the Trap Daddy.
When the cameraman asked Tip if he would like his very own big-budget Hollywood biopic, he went for the passive aggressive shade.
"I turned it down. Brian asked me to do it a while ago and I told him I wasn't interested. Just because I don't know how that story ends. I guess he found somebody who wanted to do theirs. That's fine," T.I. said.
We'd really like to take Tip at his word. But do you really think a guy who does reality TV would have turned down an 8 Mile-style biopic?
