It's not uncommon for an Internet challenge to arise from a well-circulated news story. (Hello, Bow Wow.)
They are usually lighthearted affairs. But the latest challenge is rubbing many folks the wrong way.

As you can see, to complete the #XXXTENTACIONChallenge you mimic the position XXXTentacion's body rested after he was shot to death in his car Monday.
The challenge has been met with mostly negative responses.
#XXXTENTACIONCHALLENGE yall need to grow up. You realize you are mimicking a murder victim right. pic.twitter.com/0PEGhTnL8H

#SocialMedia challenges mimicking corpses or death = horrifying, shameful, and should be condemned. Pls deter others from following suit. #XXXTentacionChallenge pic.twitter.com/Z54LOCHhXS

Y’all tortured and bullied this man while he was alive and now y’all won’t even let him rest in fucking peace. I’m convinced y’all won’t be satisfied until one of ya friends die and people make fun of their death. #XXXTENTACIONChallenge

Is the XXXTentacion challenge out of bounds, or is all fair on Twitter?
