The Weekend's Super Bowl half-time show will be almost as long as some albums.
Instead of the traditional 12 minutes, Abel will be given 4 minutes.
Pepsi, who is sponsoring the show, has paid to cut down on commercials to allow the super-sized time slot.
The Weeknd augmented the halftime show's regular production budget with another $7 million of his own money to make sure the show is worth the extra time it was given.
“We’ve been really focusing on dialing in on the fans at home and making performances a cinematic experience, and we want to do that with the Super Bowl,” the Weeknd told Billboard.
Hype?
Update: This is a false alarm and a rep from Pepsi says it will be the regular 12 to 13 minutes.
