The Offspring Of N.W.A. Have Differing Opinions Of Jerry Heller

by HHL Editors

Jerry Heller died on Friday in a car accident which may have been proceeded by a heart attack.

His lawyer claims being villainized in Straight Out Of Compton, and the lawsuit that followed, killed the former N.W.A. manager by breaking his heart.

So far the members of N.W.A. have been respectfully neutral in their words about Heller.

However, two N.W.A. offspring -- Ice Cube's son O'Shea Jackson Jr. (who played Cube in Compton) and Eazy E's daughter E.B. Wright -- have expressed stronger opinions.

Here's Wright on Heller via TMZ.

"I don't feel it was 100 percent true," Wright said of 'Straight Outta Compton'. "And I stand behind Jerry Heller to the fullest ... he was like another grandfather to me. I'm very sad about his passing, and hoping to carry on my father's legacy and Jerry's legacy and get out the truth ... Honestly I feel like (Heller) is equivalent to what Jimmy Iovine is to Dr. Dre today. I think back then they didn't understand that, so I'm riding with Jerry until I die."
Wright added that she believes that the movie may have contributed to Heller's death.

O'Shea Jackson Jr. also spoke to TMZ, and he tried to mirror his dad and take an evenhanded tone when discussing the recently departed.

But, as you can see in the video below, he makes it pretty clear that he thinks the bad Heller did outweighed the good, in terms of N.W.A.

He also laughed when presented with the theory Straight Outta Compton killed Heller.
