The Game Makes Bold Claim About His And Drake's Catalogs

The Game loves to brag and loves to name drop.

He did a little of both during an interview with the LA Leakers yesterday.

"It's only one artist alive that has more No. 1 hip-hop albums than me, and that's Drake, bro," The Game said. "And, we can run it. That is Googleable. You can ask your favorite hip-hop critic. You can go check SoundScanner. Do what you gotta do, bro. I got 10 No. 1 albums. I think Drake has 10 or his last effort was 11. But, I mean, that's Drake."

So we Googled it, and Game's claim just isn't accurate.

If you count number-one albums on the Billboard 200, Game has three (The Documentary, Doctor's Advocate, The R.E.D. Album.)  If you go with the genre-specific R&B/Hip-Hop chart -- which is what he may have been referring to -- Game has eight number one albums.

Drake has nine projects that have hit number one on the overall Billboard 200 (which means they also hit number one on the R&B/Hip-Hop chart) as does Kanye West.

Eminem has one more with 10 and JAY-Z leads the pack with 14.

And Game's nose just grew a little.
