On the Up in Smoke podcast, The Game explained why he's better than Eminem.
He started out by speaking about how Black people weren't allowed to buy houses in certain neighborhoods back in the day. Then he compared that to the world being subjected to Eminem.
"I hate to break it down it like this, but I have to," Game said. "They did the same thing to us with Eminem. But they're better GOATs ... Eminem is an outstanding lyricist. You put him with Dr. Dre, from N.W.A. and now Eminem has a stamp. You put him under a machine, Interscope and Universal, which is one of the biggest Hip Hop conglomerates. They can damn take this [white guy behind the camera] and make him a superstar ... if you put money behind a piece of sh*t and put sh*t on TV everything it's only become a matter time before people say 'I want to smell it ...'
When have you ever heard Eminem in the club? When have you ever heard him in the locker room?
I'm not saying he can't rap, the skillset is there. I'm just a better rapper. I just haven't been given the light he's been giving. They didn't put the money behind me. They did some. But as soon as I showed I'm a little too Black than expected, the budget stopped. I coud have been pushed to Eminem heights. 50 got pushed to Eminem heights because 50 played nice."
Does that sound right?
