Producer The-Dream, famous for his work with Beyonce, Rihanna, Justin Bieber and more, is being sued by singer Channii Monroe for rape and sex trafficking.
Monroe says that Dream lured her into his world by promising to make her a star.
Instead, he forced her into an abusive sexual relationship that included forced sex and strangulation.
According to Monroe, Dream told her having sex with him was part of the precious and would force sex on her until she told him she loved him. She also accuses him of making her stay in an Atlanta hotel room with staff monitoring her movement, all the while dangling the promise of opening Beyonce, which never materialized.
“What Dream did to me made it impossible to live the life I envisioned for myself and pursue my goals as a singer and songwriter,” Ms. Mangroe said in a statement. “Ultimately, my silence has become too painful, and I realized that I need to tell my story to heal. I hope that doing so will also help others and prevent future horrific abuse.”
The-Dream denies all the allegations.
