Teyana Taylor Reveals New Career Path After Retiring From Music

by Daryl Nelson

Teyana Taylor isn't waiting to start her new career after announcing that she retired from music last week.

In an Instagram post, the Harlem raised-artist said that she's walking away from music because she feels underappreciated and needs to maintain proper mental health.

Taylor announced her new career path on Thursday, Dec. 10, on the same day she turned 30 years old and it involves having a new gig at fashion retailer PrettyLittleThing.

"Dirty 30 and its time make some more BIG moves," wrote Taylor. "Remember when I said “when one door closes another one opens..either that or I’m picking the locks”? Well I damn sure did & I am proud to announce that I have officially been named CREATIVE DIRECTOR of @prettylittlething 😩😆😆 We're going to be collaborating on some amazing projects together and i cannot wait to get started! What a way to bring some positive vibes & more #blackgirlmagic into 2021! Happy birthday to me! 🤎🎈🤎."

Do you think that Taylor is really done with music or will she return one day?
