Things get even more real for Tekashi 6ix9ine and his Nine Trey Bloods co-conspirators during their first appearance in Federal court yesterday.
In addition to learning the Feds had volumes of evidence from their social media behavior, they found out that the government is working with a confidential informant who taped conversations with the defendants.
6ix9ine's lawyer addressed the latter revelation in an interview with TMZ.
"Anytime there is a confidential informant, there is cause for concern," he admitted.
"I am confident that any recorded conversations with [Tekashi] will prove that he was never a part of the Enterprise and support the conclusion that he’s innocent," he added.
6ix9ine will go to trial on September 4, if he can make it that long without flipping or taking a more traditional plea. The 22-year old, who faces six racketeering and gun charges, could get up to life in prison.
