Today, Tekashi 6ix9ine pled not guilty to six RICO and gun charges in Federal court.

Afterward, his lawyer Lance Lazzaro denied 6ix9ine was ever a Nine Trey Bloods, as his co-conspirators are, and claimed he just met his former manager Shotti and the rest of the set about a year ago.

"I think it's a far-reaching indictment that Daniel Hernandez has very little involvement with other than basically using his social media to promote his music. As far as this being part of Treway Blood gang, completely false and I think that will come out in court when the facts are brought out," Lazzaro said while be interviewed by Lisa Evers. "He did not meet any of these [Treway] individuals until September of 2017."

In other words, 6ix9ine stunted his (new) Blood ties on social media and in his music, but he wasn't really in the gang.

For their part, the government claims 6ix9ine has been running with Treway since 2013 and has participated in multiple crimes with them.

6ix9ine's trial is set for September of 2019. He faces life in prison.
