Nobody has stunted a number one harder than Tekashi 6ix9ine's been stunting his Nicki Minaj collab "TROLLZ" topping the Hot 100 last week. (Nicki's been pretty proud of herself, too.)
The thrill may be short-lived. "TROLLZ "is projected to fall to 28 when the Hot 100 is announced on Monday, which would be the biggest drop from number one while remaining on the chart.
The only bigger drop ever is Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas Is You", which reemerged as a number one hit this Christmas and then fell entirely off the charts because Christmas was over.
6ix9ine and Nicki juiced "TROLLZ" by discounting it to $.69 and making multiple versions available for streaming.
But it got no radio play at all, and it appears there wasn't much streaming demand beyond the gimmicks.
