Tekashi 6ix9ine dodged a bullet today when he got four years probation for violating the terms of a plea agreement stemming from his 2015 arrest for the use of a child in a sexual performance. Prosecutors had been looking for 1 to 3 year in prison.
Unfortunately, his bodyguard wasn't able to dodge a bullet at 6ix9ine and squad's post-conviction celebration.
Here's what TMZ reports went down at a restaurant in Midtown Manhattan shortly after the sentence was handed down.
Here's what we're told. Tekashi was meeting an exec from his record label at the party. A bodyguard for the exec turned away 6ix9ine's entourage, saying the only person who could come into the restaurant was Tekashi himself. Tekashi's security said hell no, and an argument erupted.
During the argument, a third party walked up and fired 4 shots, hitting Tekashi's bodyguard in the stomach. The bodyguard was taken to the hospital.
We don't have word on the bodyguard's condition.
As part of his probation, 6ix9ine isn't allowed to associate with gang members or felons and he will likely go to jail if he is arrested again.
It doesn't seem like things are off to a good start on those fronts.
