Teka$hi 69 will be spending the next week on Rikers Island after getting picked up at New York's JFK Airport on an outstanding warrant from Texas.
But he won't be spending it in general pop. The troll rapper was instead sent to the jail's 140 cell Contagious Disease Unit.
That's not because he's sick. Rather it's just a way to keep him away from the other prisoners. During his stay, 69 won't have any contact with anyone besides correctional officers. Even when he's taken outside for his hour of recreation.
On July 20th, 69 will get his Texas extradition hearing on charges he put his hands on a 16-year-old heckler during a confrontation in a Houston mall earlier this year.
Update: Teka$hi 69 was granted bail Friday afternoon in an emergency hearing. He will be released once he puts up $150K. He will be required to get to Harris County, TX on Monday, surrender, and pay a $5,000 bail there.
