The NYPD is looking into whether Teka$hi 69 ordered a gunman to take a shot at Chief Keef when he was visiting New York City earlier this month.

And not just because 69 has been trolling Keef on social media for a few weeks.

According to TMZ's NYPD sources, one of the two men who approached Keef as he walked out of the W hotel in Times Square Manhattan at 5 AM and fired a shot which struck the hotel's signage is a "known associate" of 69.

While the two men were captured on security video, it's unclear if the police have images of them actually firing the shot. The two suspects fled in a dark-colored Ford Econovan, which they eventually ditched in Brooklyn.

This adds to 69's growing list of legal problems. Last month, he was arrested in Brooklyn for assaulting a cop and the Harris County District Attorney has a warrant out for 69 for misdemeanor assault on a 16-year old boy during an incident in a Houston mall earlier this year.

And 69 still hasn't cleared up his three-year suspended sentence for pleading guilty to use of a minor in a sexual performance.

Yesterday, 69 suggested he would tone down his trolling in the wake of XXXTentacion's death. But it could be that his antics have already done him in.
