Tech N9ne founded Strange Music in 1999 and has built it into an indie juggernaut over the past two decades.

He doesn't much appreciate Strainge Entertainment trading off of that name.

Strainge is a label most famous for housing for up-and-comer Trippie Redd. It popped up last year and is run by Elliot Grainge, son of Universal Music group CEO Lucian Grainge. It is under the umbrella of Universal.

Strainge claims they get their name from "Grainge."  But Tech N9ne argues it's an attempt to confuse rap fans into thinking their artists are his artists.

So he's suing Strainge for trademark infringement.

He wants them to change their name, destroy anything with Strainge on it, and pay him any profits they made off of the name.

Strainge Entertainment hasn't commented on the suit. Do you think Tech N9ne has a good case?
