Tay-K Said To Be the Shooter In Second Murder Case

by HHL JT

Tay-K was initially arrested in 2016 for being a part of a Mansfield, Texas home invasion robbery that left 21-year-old Ethan Walker dead. Tay-K didn't fire the shot that killed Walker, but was being charged with murder for being part of the group.

Instead of facing justice, the-then 16-year-old cut off his ankle monitor in March 2017 and ran.  An escape he immortalized in his hit track "The Race."

He eventually returned to Texas, where he was involved in another murder/robbery in San Antonio.

Tay's lawyer, Jeff Kearney, is now asking the Second Appeals Court in Fort Worth to reverse a March ruling in which State District Judge Wayne Salvant denied Tay-K bond.

That probably won't happen. According to newly revealed court documents, Tay was the triggerman when photographer Mark Anthony Saldivar was killed in San Antonio. The Star-Telegram reports:

A Bexar County arrest warrant affidavit states McIntyre [Tay-K]  and others had picked up Saldivar, a photographer, to go to a photo shoot at a mall on April 23, 2017.

While in the car, McIntyre and one of the other suspects pulled out guns and took Saldivar's backpack containing his camera equipment.

The other suspect pistol-whipped Saldivar, who was forced out of the car.

Saldivar tried to get back into the car and eventually jumped on the hood. The affidavit states McIntyre then leaned out the window and shot the photographer, fatally wounding him, according to the appeal.

The Star-Telegram also reports that Tay has made $236,000 in his career, mostly on "The Race". The money is being held in an irrevocable spendthrift trust until he is 21, meaning he has no control over how it is spent. Any money that is leaving the trust is going to his legal fees.
