T.I. Insists That He Created Trap Music [VIDEO]

T.I. has taken credit for starting trap music before. In fact, he's done it twice this year already, once in January and another time in April.

Doing a recent chat with Montreality — in which he also talked about Eminem's rap skills — the Hustle Gang boss stood by those claims and gave his reasoning as to why he believes he started the rap sub-genre.

"Who had an album named Trap Muzik?" asked T.I. "Well, then, that's who started it. It's just as simple as that. Unless there was a time before then that you can recall hearing it. That means that since it was introduced to the world, there were people who came on and enforced it and kind of spread the genre out and you know, gave it wings and life beyond its origin. But if you go back to who truly started it, I must humbly say myself."
