Swizz Beatz spoke about his relationship with Kanye West amid Ye's support of Donald Trump.
"I want to be there to help him, I don't want to be shooting at him," said Swizz on Hot 97. "I don't want to be shooting at him with more negativity. I don't want to be on that side of the fence. I want to be on the side of the fence that, if he do need help, he can call somebody that will really help him, 'cause it might not be a lot of those people really around him. And for me to take myself out of that because of something I don't agree with what he's doing, I might regret that later."
Swizz added that his friendship with Ye is bigger than the decisions West makes.
"I shouldn't be beating him up for decisions he's making whether I don't agree with them or not," he explained. "I can tell him I don't agree with it very strongly. But I also need to let him know that if he need to talk, or you need a way out, or you need some guidance, I'm here."
Before Kanye said he was backing away from politics because he felt used by people like conservative commentator Candace Owens, he had angered many with his MAGA hat and White House visits. Swizz happened to drop a song called "Fuck the MAGA Hat" not too long ago.
You can hear Swizz talk about him below at the 27 minute mark. Would you find it hard to be friends with Kanye after all of his antics?
