Swae Lee received an early Christmas gift for himself: The hard drive that he lost at Los Angeles International Airport earlier this month.
The Rae Sremmurd rapper said that he would give $20,000 to the person who found the hard drive and his offer worked, according to what he told GQ in a recent interview. [Head to the 18-minute mark].
[Instagram post not found]“[It’s] on its way back," said Swae.“It’s like a movie, bro … But I’m not really stressing. I’ve dealt with worse sh*t than this.”
But here's the thing: Swae was extorted for the hard drive, because the person who had it created an Instagram account with the name @swaeleeharddrive and spoke to Swae while wearing a mask and changing his voice. The guy — who calls himself a Rae Sremmurd super fan — then told the rapper that he'd give the hard drive back in exchange for $150,000, a verse from Swae, as well as a verse from Drake.
Would you have given into that person's demands for your hard drive or another important item of yours?
