Stephen A. Smith isn't pleased with Nicki Minaj, that's for sure.
He ripped her for dissing Jay-Z after he chose Kendrick Lamar to play Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans and not Lil Wayne, who's from that city.
"Eminem stood firm on having 50Cent come out. A white man. Sh*t sad. House N*GGER TINGZ. but it’s GOOD FI DEM!!!!!!! No loyalty," wrote Nicki to Jay.
During his criticism, Smith said it's okay not to like the Super Bowl halftime selection, but it's not cool to be so disrespectful to the Reasonable Doubt rapper.

"Who else you going to get in a beef with?" Smith asked Nicki. "Lil' Kim, Mariah Carey, Cardi B, Gucci Mane? Everytime we turn around it’s something, Nicki. You disagree with the decision, but you have to talk to a brother like that? And why are we talking about Jay-Z like he’s some damn sellout or something?"
"Need I remind y’all all the Hip Hop artists, all the R&B people that have been performing at the Super Bowl halftime over the last few years since he’s been involved since 2019?" he added. "Do you know how hard it is for a Black man to pull off what Jay-Z has pulled off? It ain't about you as an individual, it's about us, all of us, as Black people."
However, according to Memphis Bleek, Nicki is mad at Jay because he failed to do something for her. (That something may be paying her for her share in Tidal.)
Another theory is she's mad at Jay because Roc Nation manages her enemy Megan Thee Stallion and promoted Megan's diss song "Hiss."
