Snoop Dogg Says He Thought The CIA Was Trying To Kill Him After B.I.G's Murder

by Daryl Nelson

When The Notorious B.I.G. was killed in 1997, Snoop Dogg said that he feared for his life and thought he was going to be the next rapper gunned down. So he did two things. One, he purchased a bulletproof van. Two, he flew to Chicago to meet with the leader of the Nation of Islam Minister Louis Farrakhan.

“When Biggie got killed, I bought a bulletproof van,” Snoop explained. “I got a bulletproof van, and I called Minster Louis Farrakhan, and I told Farrakhan ‘I need to holler at you’ and I flew to Chicago and we had a long conversation. I told him and I said ‘Brother minister, I’m fearing for my life, I don’t know what’s going on or if its a plot. If it was the police, the CIA' ... I thought I was next."

The Dogg Father then explained that he asked Farrakhan to help organize a meeting of everyone in Hip Hop who didn't get along.

In another part of the interview, Snoop talked about Tupac's murder and how he wished the late rapper stayed out of L.A.'s gang scene.

"That’s gang business," said Snoop about Pac's murder. "California crazy. This shit is for real, man ... If he could've stayed just being that great rapper and that great businessman and that great entertainer and that actor and that nigga that was inspiring, as opposed to jumping in the gangster lane for real [he might still been alive.]"

What do you think about Snoop thinking the CIA or police might've been behind Biggie's murder?

That’s gang business.
