In 1997, Snoop Dogg already had Doggystyle and Tha Doggfather under his belt. So he's seen the last 20 years of the game from the perch of a superstar.
In an interview with XXL, Snoop was asked who he thought have been the most influential rappers of the past 20 years. His answers were surprising.
"I definitely would have to say JAY-Z, E-40, Too Short, Puff Daddy," Snoop said. "Just because of longevity and the way that they've been able to reinvent themselves and stay relevant and stay true to who they are. And remain in the top five in conversation, no matter what it is when it comes to Hip Hop."It's an interesting foursome for who he didn't mention -- mainly Kanye, Eminem, Lil Wayne and the guy who put him on, Dr. Dre.
Who would you list as the most influential of the last two decades?
