Snoop Dogg's new album Snoop Dog Presents: Bible of Love is number one on the gospel charts.

Snoop's gotten some push back from certain religious figures on the project. He addressed that in an interview with TV One.

"The devil is alive. I thought church was supposed to welcome the sinners. Because if the church was full of saints it wouldn't be right," Snoop argued. "If you find somebody finding their way back home, the natural thing to do is to open your arms and say 'Brother we welcome you.'"

Snoop went on to say all the gospel music greats have accepted his move into their genre. However, he said one particular unnamed reverend has been critical of him.

"What's happening? I said it," Snoop said, with his face getting angry. "What about you? Have you checked your status? Are you going to heaven? Why you judging me? How much work have you put in for the lord? Hmm. Reverend. The reverend needs to hear that, because I know one of the reverends had something to say."
